In May 2022, the Law Society of Scotland celebrated the 90th anniversary of the Donoghue v Stevenson case by holding an online conference with esteemed presenters appearing over the day from around the world. CLEBC is pleased to offer the collection of papers from this conference as Donoghue v Stevenson—The Immortal Snail—90th Anniversary Conference Papers.
This collection offers perspectives on how Donoghue v Stevenson continues to resonate in so many jurisdictions, including New Zealand, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia, Israel, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Caribbean, and Canada.
CLEBC would like to thank the Honourable Martin Taylor who has included CLEBC in many of the Donoghue v Stevenson celebrations over the years. This is our second publication on the topic; the first was Donoghue v Stevenson and the Modern Law of Negligence–The Paisley Papers from the 1990 conference.
We would also like to thank Michael Clancy, OBE, WS, at the Law Society of Scotland, who organized the conference and facilitated CLEBC’s involvement with this collection.
