Who should attend:  Intermediate to senior lawyers practicing in the area of estate planning and administration.

Learning level: Intermediate/Advanced

Keep abreast of developing issues in the world of estate planning. This fast-paced, half-day course will touch upon a host of recent legislative changes, best practices in estate planning, and solutions to quirky issues that arise, summarized in 15-minute increments. 

After taking this course, you will:

  • gain insight into the concept of excluded assets
  • be up to date on wills variation cases and s.58 cases
  • understand the new principal residence exemption
  • have answers to practical questions and issues

Law Society of BC CPD Hours: 3.5 (including a minimum of 0.5 hours pertaining to professional responsibility and ethics, client care and relations, and/or practice management)
