Employment Law — new cases, new issues, new strategies. This is your annual update on the case law, trends, and issues that are creating change in this interesting and developing area of practice. Join us for our two-day Employment Law Conference 2018 where you will receive a comprehensive understanding of the key and emerging ideas you need to know about. By attending this conference, you will complete all of your Law Society continuing professional development requirements for the year!
At this time we would like to invite lawyers, academics, the judiciary, human resources practitioners, and all other professionals interested in this area to provide us with a brief outline of papers and presentations that you would like to propose for a spot on the agenda. As with past years, we expect most of the conference topics to come from your submissions. Please send your proposals via email to Genevieve Chang, Program Lawyer at firstname.lastname@example.org and include the following in your submission:
- Name and organization;
- Proposed topic title; and
- ½ to 1-page outline of your proposed paper and presentation.
Please take a moment to review the agendas from 2016 and 2017 for an idea of what topics have been covered recently. We do our best to have different topics every year unless there have been significant developments or changes in the area.
All submissions received by Tuesday, October 31, 2017, will be reviewed and considered by the Conference Chairs and Planning Committee. Thank you for your continued support of the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC. We look forward to receiving your ideas and to seeing you at this year’s Employment Law Conference.
