Child protection can be a complex and difficult area of practice. A completely unique offering in BC, this conference highlights the recent focus on collaborative approaches to child protection practice. Learn best practices from experienced parents’ and directors’ counsel who understand this challenging area of law and can show you how to better serve your clients.  Join us for an early optional one-hour session on the basics of child protection, which will give you the grounding for analysis of more advanced issues throughout the day. Features a view from the bench session with Chief Judge Crabtree on the new Child Protection initiative at the Aboriginal Family Healing Court Conference.

After this program, you will be able to:

  • understand and apply the basics of child protection practice
  • integrate collaborative approaches
  • get up to date with the latest case law
