THE DECOLONIZATION AND RACISM RESEARCH GUIDE, launched in May 2021 by the Xwi7xwa Library at UBC, takes its place among a rich collection of Xwi7xwa research guides.
“Research Guides include search strategies for finding resources that are relevant to the multidisciplinary study of Indigenous topics and materials written from Indigenous perspectives.”
The Decolonization and Racism Research Guide “was created to assist folks interested in decolonial & anti-racist research, projects, class assignments, and course work.”
Xwi7xwa Library is the only branch of an academic library in Canada that is entirely dedicated to Indigenous materials. Currently offering remote services, the library usually welcomes visitors but is closed to the public until Fall 2022 due to construction related to the expansion of the First Nations Longhouse.
