CLEBC’s Human Rights Law Conference will be held in Vancouver on November 16 and 17, 2023. We invite you to submit an outline of the paper you would like to present at the conference.
This annual two-day conference brings together leading human rights law practitioners to address current and emerging issues in human rights law with a focus on BC. We aim to provide those working in the area with a substantive look at the trends and practical issues to meet the increasingly complex and sophisticated issues in this area of practice.
Lawyers, academics, the judiciary, human resource practitioners, tribunal members, and all other professionals interested in the area of human rights law are invited to submit an outline of the paper that you would like to present at the conference.
We anticipate that most of the topics on the agenda will come from your proposals. Areas of interest include all aspects of human rights, including workplace human rights, international human rights, charter issues, group rights, and others. We also welcome submissions on lawyer wellness.
Please take a moment to review the agendas from 2021 and 2022 for an idea of what topics have been covered recently. We do our best to have different topics every year unless there have been significant developments or changes in the area
Please send your submissions and/or any questions you have via email to: Genevieve Chang with the following information:
your name and organization;
proposed topic; and
half- to one-page outline of your proposed paper and presentation.
All submissions received by Tuesday, May 23, 2023, will be reviewed and considered by the Conference Chairs and Planning Committee.
Thank you for your continued support of the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC. We look forward to receiving your ideas and to seeing you at our Human Rights Law Conference. Please save the dates!
