Welcome to our first installment of CLEBC’s new “Meet Our Staff” series! We are delighted to introduce Allison Smith, CLEBC’s Online Course Material Coordinator. If you are a CLEBC volunteer, you may recognize Allison’s name from her friendly email reminders about materials for courses you’ve presented at. If you’ve ever taken a CLEBC course, you may recognize her from our Event App correspondence which contains all the resources you need for a successful learning experience.
2015 This year’s recipient, Alison L. Murray, KC, of Murray Jamieson, embodies the behaviours and values of the award. Alison consistently demonstrates a commitment to ongoing learning, understands the importance of mentoring and role modeling, and is a leader in delivering learning opportunities to lawyers.
CLEBC is proud to support Testify: A Project of the Indigenous Laws + the Arts Collective. Testify is a performance and art show in which 11 pairs of artists and legal thinkers work in conversation with each other to create pieces that explore Indigenous laws.

An Award for Professional Excellence in Programs was given to CLEBC for the Advocacy Toolkit, in the Best Program category.

An Award for Outstanding Achievement was given to CLBEC for the Access to Justice for Children Conference: Law Practice and Children’s Human Rights in the Best Public Interest category.
CLEBC works with over 1,000 volunteers every year to support a culture of learning, to encourage innovation, and to give back to the BC bar.
