Associates feel they have little control over their careers, but in fact, they have tremendous control: they just haven't been activating it. Having coached over 1,000 associates, and heard from many others through interview processes, the speaker has a unique insight into what works (and what doesn't) to promote associates' careers and to help them increase their job satisfaction.
This session will focus on three critical elements for associates to gain control of their careers: branding, planning, and discipline.
- Creating and living a personal brand. What is a brand, why does it work, and how can you create and follow one?
- Developing a plan. What are the benefits of planning, how to develop one, how to stick with it.
- Discipline. A lack of planning and discipline tends to be at the heart of every unhappy associate. Explore the benefits of developing and sticking with good habits and learn some habits you can start now to help your career progress more quickly.
Here are what some registrants of instructor Heather Gray-Grant's 2024 CLEBC course Managing Associates for Better Outcomes had to say:
"The entire presentation was excellent. Well prepared, well organized, and good information that was relevant. Frankly, one of the best CLE's I've seen!"
"Heather is a real straight shooter. Her practical knowledge and candour was refreshing."
