CLEBC’s Indigenous Governance & Economic Development will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. We invite you to submit an outline of the paper and presentation you would like to present at the webinar.
Effective Indigenous governance has often been closely tied to effective business development. We will explore how to develop potential best practices for economic development models and structures in the context of industry, technology, services sectors, construction, land development, and finance. Having a sound understanding of the options and context for Indigenous business will assist industry, government, and Indigenous leaders to form effective business and governance structures and successful business partnerships.
Would you like to present at the Indigenous Governance and Economic Development program?
If you have done work in the last few years on innovative developments, business or government structures, obtained private financing or changed the world for on-reserve projects, done some innovated economic development off-reserve, or something else awesome regarding Indigenous governance or economic development, we now encourage you to submit your proposal to present at the conference.
Please send your submissions and/or any questions you have via email to: Teresa Sheward at teresas@cle.bc.ca with the following information:
Your name and organization;
Proposed topic; and
½- to 1-page outline of your proposed paper and presentation.
All submissions received by Monday, January 23, 2023, will be reviewed and considered by the planning committee.
Thank you for your continued support of the Continuing Legal Education Society of BC. We look forward to receiving your ideas.
